SPECTACULAR RESULTS WITH CHRONIC WOUNDS AND NECROSIS

With DermaPACE Ortho-Medico presents a pioneering appliance to heal wounds. The apparatus is based on the new ‘Pulsed Acoustic Cellular Expression’ technology. High-energy acoustic pulse waves arouse cell reactions which is the initiating start to heal acute and chronic wounds. In this way, for example, this PACE therapy also provides a breakthrough in diabetics’ chronic foot ulcers.

Revascularisation

The purpose of the treatment using the DermaPACE is to create a cellular reaction to start healing wounds in this way. An extremely short, intense shock is applied to locally reactivate the cells to be treated. There is an immediate inflammatory response resulting in a revascularisation. The cytokines are formed at an accelerated rate and the number of growth factors are also increased (eNOS, VEGF and PCNA). The angiogenetic reaction results in improved blood supply. This in turn results in healing the wound, granulation and pain elimination.

Indications

The PACE technology provides positive results with indications such as diabetic ulcers, venal ulcers, burns, pressure (decubitus) ulcers, post-traumatic wounds, skin reconstructions and post-operative wound healing.

Treatment

The use of increased impulse frequency (480 impulses per minute) provides a short, though efficient, treatment. Four treatments spread over 2 weeks start up the process of healing the wounds immediately. After 4 to 6 weeks, the result is clearly visible.
