Q&A

Will one still be able to achieve movement in the leg after the post-operative brace has been put on the patient?

This is avoided because the straps are attached directly to the whalebones and not by means of a separate closing system.

Why are the hinges of this brace not in direct alignment with the whalebones?

In this way one prevents the tibia from being pulled forward from the moment the patient makes a light flexion. In this way there is optimal protection for the graft.

Is there a possibility of achieving an extension to the ankle?

This is possible and is definitely a solution to avoid the post-operative brace from sagging in patients who have no calf.
